You can't beat the pro controller. I would buy both it and a nice stand for the Switch. In handheld mode, I prefer to put the Switch on the stand and use the pro controller.

I almost exclusively use my Switch as a home console, so my Pro Controllers get used all the time.

My joycons only get used when I need extra controllers for MarioKart or specific games that need them, like Snipperclips (or the rare occasion that I use the Switch handheld).
