I imagine when I have a kid and trying gauge what they’d like I would go to a store like Walmart or Target and walk around the entire gaming area and watch for what catches their eye and base my decision on that. Can I just say that this reminds me of my own childhood. I was like 10-11 when my dad bought me my first nintendo DS with games. Your daughter will be SO happy, at least I was. I approve of the parenting. Growing up with nintendo (also n64) was a great childhood.

At 10, I would have certainly been into BOTW. I loved ALTTP and the other Zelda titles back then, and when OOT came out, it made my life.

Take her to a Best Buy with one of those Switch kiosks and see what demos she likes -OR- get a decent-sized micro USB and buy her some credit for the eStore. She can demo BOTW on that and if she really wants it, you can help her get it then.
