I had this happen last summer. I had to send in to Ninty and lost all my data (but it was free to ship/fix). Just preparing for worst case scenario; hopefully something else here that people posted will work for you before it comes to that.
No but if it’s under warranty call nintendo they are real good about getting and fixing it and having it right back to you. I had an issue with mine I had it back in 12 days all fixed up.
