In all honestly I would prefer them to move the roster, maps and modes from Wii U and 3DS over to a new platform and then just build off of that, give us more characters more maps, modes , fix complaints from the Wii U version ect a new game does nothing but restart the roster again which could mean we lose out on a lot of fan favorites. And honestly if this game is truly coming or in 2018 I highly doubt they started over from scratch, sakurai went on record saying he needed a break from smash the Wii U version was a massive under taking.

It doesn't. Matter. So few people owned a Wii u. Even if it's a straight port with added dlc content it's still going to sell the numbers BOTW did.

That being said; people are still going to buy it. Port or no port.
