A guy at work argued a 4k Xbox is better than a 1080p pc. Any thoughts on this?

Very few modern games can currently run at 4k without a severe drop in fps. Most of them end up averaging less than 30fps and some of them go as low as 6fps average on a single 1080 card. Which means that a computer would need dual+ 1080/1080ti cards to push games at 4k effectively. There's no way a console can do it.

In terms of technology. The fact that an Xbox x can achieve such numbers on such small form factor and low power requirement then it's a nice piece of tech. But comparing it to a gpu without putting a valid argument is stupid. They are both nice things it just differ in their applications
