Is there any performance differences between using hdmi dvi-d or the display port to connect my monitor ?

Displayport is virtually better: more bandwidth, can manage a higher color depth etc.

I could never tell difference other than DVI doesnt support sound.

I'm using hdmi at the moment just wasn't sure if I could get and better performance I have a lg 29" ultra wide 60hz refresh 5ms response if memory is correct when I bought it hdmi was the only connection I could get my sound to work with through my headset
