I had that same situation for my Wii awhile back. I knew his favorite shop so I called the cops, told them to go there and they did have the receipts. Unfortunately, I didn't get it back I could only get the money he got for them. They said they already sold everything he brought in, which was bs.... But at least I got something back out of it
