Two things - the BBC Acorn Master computers we got to use in Junior School (2nd Grade for you Americans), they had not long since been released - 1986 this is - and featured an entire FOUR colours on the screen (red, yellow, green and white) - AND GAMES!!
I remember playing one called "POP" which was a text-based animation where you instructed this character to do stuff like "walk" and "run" ... or if you were cheeky you typed in "pop" (hence the game name) and he'd expand to fill the screen and then go POP with a bang sound effect
I think it had the most basic internet connection it was possible to have - I don't remember "looking up stuff" instead it connected to other computers in our local library that had some pre-programmed information on them. And the second thing was in Secondary School (Middle School) where the first PROPER computer games I played were the ORIGINAL Doom and Wolfenstein 3D as well as the first Lemmings game ![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
