Can someone tell me what would be some good specs for a desktop computer to have?

do some research get name brand spend around 1k$ atleast
think about it like buying a car u really dont want cheap parts spend the money get the good stuff learn more about it its not that hard at the basic level. i did it in a month went through like 10 different build ideas before finaly deciding.
