So this just happened. Im playing mario kart online and literally EVERY item box i pick up is a coin... Like not a single item lmao. Its a miracle i didnt get slaughtered by red shells
EDIT: i have never once had this happen to me and ive played this game for around 200 hours between 2 consoles. This is not normal lol

Coins are almost a guarantee when you're in first place.

Dude this happened to me too it gave me a coin in both slots wtf. If you have a coin it guarantees another item. My guess was either hackers or bad Internet connection

i found when you run over item, fall back to 2nd place while its randomizing and you will better your chances for a shell. Then just haul ass back to first. I do this alot.

Get the double box. It's a rarity that you'll get double coins.

Yeah I always get a variety of items in first place. Never once have I recieved only coins during a whole race

This isn't normal lol, you can get Green Shells, Red Shells, Bob-ombs, Super Horns and Coins in first place. It is super rare to get pure coins in one race
