Pulled the trigger on an EVGA SC 1080. Gonna be a bit overkill for my 1080p 60hz monitor for a bit until I upgrade lol. Does anyone have any personal thoughts on the GTX 1080?

Go for it mate, like you say ,it's a bit over kill but should put you in graphics heaven for a good while.
