Mine done this after the last update. I turned it off over night at the wall, got to bios and just discarded changes and continued. After a bit the disk repair loaded, just continued to windows and then it reinstalled the update.

Reset bios firstly, then you would be able to boot into bios, set time and other settings you need for OS to function properly and make sure everything is detected in the bios, afterwards try to manually boot into the os using the boot menu(F8 or F9) and set default boot device if it works. If it doesn't work you can try reinstalling windows. If you can't find the drive, the drive us probably dead.

Hard drive might be dead. Seen some desktops being stuck at bios splash screen with hdd (not spinning) and giving me an error 10 minutes later.

Reset the BIOS to default maybe?
Hard to say because it's kind of vague but I've tried overclocking my ram a few times and that red LED is what usually happens.
