Hey guys bit of a different question for once and I hope its alright but I'm stumped. I'm currently having massive ping spikes and fluctuations. I run Coax Cable net and connect my pc through a powerline adapter. Download rate in a speed test usually shows 32mbps down and around 1.2 up with anything from 8-30 ping. However whenever I try to do anything online like join a discord or play a game my ping will fluctuate wildly anywhere from 30ms to 1600ms. Ive tried all the usual stuff like changing ethernet cables and connecting my pc straight to the router without the powerline, using different coax cables etc. Any ideas on what could be causing such wacky ping? I've got a tech booked but my internet service provider is crappy and they always try and charge for any callout so wanting to avoid that if possible. Cheers.
