i want to boost the clock speed on my zotac using the firestorm app (for no real reason) and don't want to blow it up?

Just increase by 10 each time and benchmark for stability ... Googling this is very easy

Set your memory offset to +500 and your core to +50 and then max out your power slider and bump your fan curve up.
