When I first started I played solo and just tweaked the setting to learn meaning up the loot and up your damage a bit and so on once it is easy turn setting back slowly

Listen to others, going in solo and a newb is the hardest way to play any server. I learned the basics of Ark from a friend. Got kicked from the tribe so me and my boyfriend started fresh on the same server, went from being a big tribe to living in a raft. We got a big hand from the alpha tribe and learned efficiency doing things as two people. Only when we got more members did we really excel.
