30 fps is the standard for console gaming. 60 is the generally accepted standard for pc gaming. The human eye needs a min of 25 fps for a moving image to appear smooth. But your eye def can tell the difference between 30-60. Tv goes at 25 fps.

As a Console and PC gamer I absolutely care about 60FPS minimum Anyone who has played a game on console locked to 30FPS then played that same game on PC @ 60 will all tell you that they noticed the invisible soup they had to wade through on console.
