Because the Switch adheres to the WiFi standards in a more strict way, whereas the PS4 implementation is more flexible. This has to do with battery savings implementations on the routers and how well they respond to the Switch requests. In other words, change your router or add a standalone WiFi Access Point.

I have the same problem. My PS4 gets pretty good signal but switch can barely find it and is losing connection

I wish we can test the internet speed on the switch. On my phone I get 100 mb but for the switch it took me close to an hour to download doom from the eshop

Your PS4 probably hogs the WiFi. My Xbox one steals it when in use

You might be connected to the 2.4ghz connection on your router. But depending on your distance from it that might be the better option. Check your router see what the connection is

My Wi-Fi connection has always been solid. But I've never really tested it when my roommate has been on PSN. And my Roku uses a different frequency, so I can do both without lag of any sort.

I had the same problem it's because the switch.... Is low on signal... I had to up my plan with Comcast and that fixed it up now I got. A higher bill
