If it takes resources from developing new games, I don't believe they should. It's not like people didn't have a chance to buy a Wii U and play these games. The console was out for five years.

The Wii u didn't get a full life so porting the games is a wise move.

I'm pretty sure Smash will get its own iteration for the Switch. I imagine it as a compilation of every character that has appeared on Smash (except for nuances like Pichu), with some newcomers (or a lot, alas, who knows with Sakurai?).

I'm also sure Xenoblade Chronicles X won't get a port. More likely a sequel.

I would buy Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze in a heartbeat. Would like a new DK game.....as a 2D Mario game seems like something dead in the water after Super Mario Maker. Have DK carry the 2D legacy as only he can
