That's definitely not a manufacturing defect. That's not covered under warranty.

Probably just a game of roulette with good techs. Coincidentally, I just got my Switch back from Nintendo yesterday and it was PERFECT.

Resolved my bulging, deteriorating backplate without compromising my glass screen protector or anything.

I just sent mines in for repair after the whole nyko and 5.0.0 disagreement
And to see that they neglected you scares me... Not saying they're all that way but.. You never know

It was probably not actually handled by Nintendo. They usually send you a prepaid label to a repair shop that is an authorized repair center.

Could be the carrier.. at work we ship tons of stuff through FedEx and those driver screw tons up, drops and throwing boxes around damage things and FedEx don't back crap up
