Yes but rarely,the new mini Sega compleatly outdoes the Nintendo .

I bought my son both for Christmas ,brand new at the store.We ended up playing the Sega continuously and very seldom playing the Nintendo.Sega did not have 1 bad thing about it .The Nintendo on the other hand was a huge disappointment.I always loved the original Nintendo so I really expected this to be a great buy.

Mine is still unopened but that's only until I have time to tinker around with modding it to add more roms
