Last time I got a game at Redbox, it was just a cut out copy of the disc and they gave me credit on my account for a movie. They also had me return the case for the stolen game so someone else could rent it.

Lol my local library opened the games before check out and saw that someone switch out a game with another on (I assume they didn’t like)
And they were sneaky about it by not placing the cartridge face up

I know a popular one in the UK who does this is 'BoomerangRentals'
It's quite popular with Nintendo game rentals
