So what’s going on with the 5.0 update? Everyone has me scared to update. I have a day 1 switch and am not currently updating. Is everyone experiencing this a day 1 or just random switches being affected?
Also why is this not being addressed by Nintendo other than telling people to send it in for $110 charge?

I updated Monday night after reading the update article on the news feed. I closed all software, update manually, 7 minute download, installed, restart automatically, am playing Stardew Valley right now. I hope I don't jinx myself by rubbing in the fact my Switch works.
