So, I've just bought Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and I wanted to know if there are DLCs of the game. Should I buy them before starting or It doesn't change the gameplay. Also, in XC1 there were timed quests, which I hated since I missed 1 and because of this one, I missed some others; is there anything like this in XC2? Missable quests or items?

So... This isn't ENTIRELY spoiler free so read ahead with caution.
Spoiler beginn: you can miss stuff and items etc in a place called Praterium Indol. I hope I spelled that correctly. If you want to do EVERYTHING, you should do everything in Indol as soon as it becomes available.
