So I got up this morning and my switch was completely depleted I plugged it in and waited for like 20 min and it shows that it's charging but it won't power on, I hard rest it twice before I left for work, I left it on charge I hope it works when I get off....

20min seams long, but, yes, if not in the Dock, and plugged in, it will wait for a certain minimum charge, before booting. Much like IOS does.

It's working now checked it when I got off and it was fully charged been playing since

It does that when it dies completely. Was about 20 minutes for me as well. Just leave it. It will come around, don't worry.
