So i bought a pc specialist clevo gaming laptop right. It cost me £650 delivered second hand. It has 16gb ddr4 ram, 8gb 980m, 250gb 850 ssd, 1tb hdd, backlit keys, all the ports you'd ever need, and an i7 6820hk. I thought that was a pretty decent price for the specs, had trouble with making a slight overclock on the cpu using intels XTU so i sacked it and went into the bios to turn off the speedstep shit it has. After a long time scratching my head i gave in and called the manufacturers. Turns out clevo lock there bios's and mobos so you cant overclock and its fixed like that. So my question is why bother with an overclockable cpu in a fucking locked mobo...? Why wouldnt the guy who bought it first just got the 6700hq seeing as theres pretty mucb no difference in performance but adds a huge £180 onto the price. Slight rant but thought what a stupid thing for a manufacturer to do. Offer an oc cpu and charge extra to pair with a locked mobo
