The demo itself will introduce you to the unique gyro mechanics and takes place in Viridian Forest. Here you'll meet with Professor Oak who wants yourself and your partner Pokémon (which is randomly selected) to conduct a bit of research on his behalf. The game will then teach you the basics while you catch Pokémon and battle trainers. Interestingly, your party is loaded with Eevee, Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Meowth.
