Noticing more and more hosts are having similar issues as I am.

At random times, my server will disconnect a large group of people, by random, and when they try joining back they get an error that says “could not retrieve address”

It could be players using the original Xbox one. I had serious NAT issues after the UI update 2-3 months ago. My NAT would go strict mid gameplay. They may need to go into their router settings and set their Xbox to DMZ. I had to google how and it still took me a while to figure it out.
