Not even a month old and it developed such annoying coil whine issuing a refund on Amazon and getting the ASUS STRIX 1080 instead so lets hope all goes well

Tried using v sync for all games and locking them at 60fps and all it did was reduce it by like 0.1% basically no difference

Im aware that people can stick coil whine but i just cant, my OCD kicks in big time

Anyone else ever had coil whine? Not many fixes for it unfortunately

My 7970 Ghz edition did, wasn't too bad. I never noticed it with my 780 Ti or 980 Ti. With my 1080 Ti I have never noticed it unless it's in an uncapped menu and jumps up to 1k+ fps.
Edit: My buddies 1080 Ti SC2 is fucking awful at 100+ fps.

Should be fine for the return -- please note however -- not all companies technically warranty coil whine -- Gigabyte for instance takes it on a case by case basis when I last dealt with them.
Good on you for noticing it early on and acting.

You will most likely also have coil whine on the new card, it's super common on higher end cards.

I've had it on all my cards other then x60 versions (GTX 1060 960 760)

My MSI Gaming X 1080 has coil whine ONLY when playing WoW in 4k with SSAO on ultra. When I drop that to high it stops. Only game it has ever occured with and I play a LOT of different games.
