The Pokémon Company has just unveiled a collaboration with American artist Daniel Arsham which will present some of the brand's most famous characters in a way that hasn't been seen before.
Based on Arsham's creative concept of “fictional archaeology,” the project will invite the viewer to "imagine the unearthing of Pokémon a thousand years from now and experience the passage of time." Arsham’s sculptures, at first glance, boast a weathered, almost derelict appearance, but are in fact covered in crystals and other dazzling items. They are also going to give us nightmares.
