Need some help 2 6 pin pci but graphics card has a 8 pin. Does my PSU need changing it’s a 750w Corsair. I have noticed it has a little 2 pin attached on each 6pin. Do I just leave one 6 pin hanging out or buy an adaptor? I’m confused

Its a 6+2. If your card has 8, use one of them.

How are you confused. Use the extra piece to make an 8 pin.

Plug in the 2 pins and let the 6 pin thing hang somewhere

Ok cool was just making sure that both 6’s didn’t need to be plugged in. I was making it way more complicated then it actually is. Thanks guys.

Just use an adaptor 6pin to 8 pin like this:

Or if you don't trust this adaptor and are crafty, get a molex to pcie 6+2 pin adapter and cop that 2 pin connector off and solder it to molex GND (black wire)

If i could mod this Power Mac G5 stock 600W psu to work with regular pc components then u could do that simple thing.

Or if you got 2x 6pin pci-e connectors, then get this 2x 6pin to 1x 8pin
