My kids' joy cons are not syncing to the switch when it's in TV mode. Help!!

I would suggest jist turning the system off and on again. Then if doesnt work, try resyncing your joycons

Slide them into the switch itself then take them out again

Make sure that your Switch and your wireless gateway device are not too close, since the Wi-Fi signals can interfere with the functionality in another device if it is too close.
