Yes and no.

At an output of 5V / 2.4A, it will charge your Switch if you're not using it or playing a low intensity game. If you're charging and playing a game like Zelda, it will still transfer power to the Switch, but you'll still notice the battery power on your Switch decrease (just slower than usual).
