Is it worth upgrading your favorite weapon to masterworks with hard earned shards and is it always a positive outcome if I don't need those kill stats and the weapon is already around 335?

Stat buff is always a plus. Particularly if you get lucky and roll Reload Speed or Range.

So you always get 1 extra stat like reload or range besides kill stat? How many perks is there you can get besides those two?
