I'm looking to build my first PC these holidays. I want to just game on my PC @ 1080p. I have around $1200 for the tower and a monitor, kb+m. Help please?

ryzen 5 1600 +1060 should last for a bit on 1080

What monitor would you recommend? I'm looking for a 24-28 inch 1080p monitor, 120hz

Ive got the Asus vg248qe. Fantastic 1080 monitor. 144 Hz. I paired that with a 1060 windforce from gigabyte and it was great.
