Wii U is the better choice, the Wii’s VC just got shut down. On Wii U you can play a large chunk of the Zelda series

Via the VC
NES-LOZ and Zelda 2
SNES-LTTP
N64-OOT and MM
GBA-MC
DS-PH and ST
Wii-SS

Wind Waker and Twilight Princess both got HD remakes on Wii U as well.

Get a Wii U. Not only do you have access to VC, but also the Wii library through backwards compatibility.

Yeah, the Wii’s not much of an option for that anymore.
