No and not really. Depending on the fan it could help or do absolutely nothing.

I thought about it as my laptop get extremely loud after few hours of gaming. But it’s not overheating tho

It depends on the config of the motherboard. It could help but if there's no intake on the bottom, all you're doing is just cooling the plastic on the bottom.

I used one years ago when I was video editing and rendering for college. It made a difference during full use times, kept it 5-8°C cooler. The slope made it a bit more comfortable, ergonomic for me too.

Sager with 1070 gtx here. I use one and really need one. Also use throttlestop

I haven't had any overheating issues. That said my laptop is fairly new and that usually comes down the road

I use a Lenovo Y700 when I'm away from home and I have no heating issues at all even after long sessions.
