I have 1x8gb of ram. Does it matter which slot I put it in?

slot 2, when you get 2nd ram, put in slot 4

Slot 1, use slot 2 and 4 for dual channel when you get another stick

People saying slot 1 are miss informed about this motherboard, manual clearly states slot 2 for a single stick, 2 and 4 dual sticks populated first then 1 and 3....

For ultra fast ram put it into the gpu slot
