Learn a hero in each catagory. Flexibility is key. It's okay to have favorites and play with them as much as possible, but winning games takes changing it up.
Learn all the heroes, understand some games you simply can't win, and try to have fun. You can have characters you like but if it makes the team good, you won't have fun with that hero.
Just take what the team needs .. not what you want
Cuz it's a team work game not solo if you keep that in your mind you will be a good player soon ^^ and watch how the pro players playing and try to play like them
If you main Mercy you fucking suck (Not my opinion just a lot of the Overwatch community)
Fuck you if you play Hanzo
Fuck you if you play Junkrat
Fuck you if you play Moira
Fuck you if you play anybody but a healer (expect Mercy BCS fuck you)
Again, these aren't my opinions just what I've gathered from the group.
do countless games of mystery heros, itll suck for the first while, but youll slowly start getting the hang of it, ive done 50hrs in mystery and can pretty much play every char flawlessly, with watching youtube tips for positions and ulting, then just knowing the game and the map layout too
Stack with 2 friends in comp, preferably from high rank, when you hit lvl 25 so you can ruin solo queuers experience at max
Make sure your high ranked friends are useless onetricks/mercy mains
