Hey, I'm trying to do a 2 monitor setup. Can I connect one monitor to my GPU, and the other to my MOBO? Because I only have 1 DVI cable for the GPU to 1 monitor, and the other cable is VGA.

I don't think you can unless you are crossfiring your mobo GPU and GPU then it might be possible

Simply, use the external GPU. Plug both the VGA and DVI within the same GPU and it can share for both screens, yet you might notice a slight difference. However it will do until you get one of the two cables.

Your external GPU supports both DVI and VGA.

Yes you can, if your motherboard/cpu supports "iGPU multimonitor". You can even render using your graphics card and display it on the mobo output if your mobo supports lucidlogix virtu mvp. Just look for igpu multimonitor setting in your bios
