2x16. That was if you decide to upgrade later you just need another 2x16 instead of a full set. Also with Ryzen's temperamental relationship with ram 2 sticks may be more stable in certain situations.

Dual channel vs quad channel difference are so miniscule, there is no real world noticeable difference.

Go with 2x16. If all 4 RAM slots are populated then it will default to 2666MHZ and won't let you change it/it becomes unstable

not true an all boards, more so on B350 than X370's

Go with 16*2 config
You'll have slots to wiggle around if ryzen starts being ryzen
Not to mention 2 extra is room for expansion
