Has anyone bought one of the switch dock alternatives? Looking at the Insignia one at Best buy and a dock at Gamestop also. Want one for upstairs that won't be used a ton, so spending $100 after tax for a real one is a bit much to me.

Fyi... u don't need a "dock"... u need a usb-c to hdmi connection

Don’t buy third party docks. They have been know to fry the Switch port. Google it.

If that is the one you are talking about, I have it and am very happy. It’s a little bigger than I expected so it’s not quite as potable as I was hoping but it does the same job as the original dock and at half the price and includes an adapter and hdmi cord, very good deal!!!

No. Bought 2 Switch. Easily the best deal for a second Everything, and u get another Switch as a bonus
