Towards the end of the game, boss encounters (both progression-specific and optional) start to ramp up in difficulty and having the correct weapon becomes of paramount importance. You may well already be wondering which weapon is the best in the entire game, but it's not always about power; greatswords, for example, are strong but slow to wind up, while other swords have lower attack power but can deliver multiple hits in the time it takes to swing a hulking greatsword.
