Given the current state of the market, CPU mining some altcoins is just as profitable as GPU mining the most profitable ones. A GTX 1060 now sits at ~$1.43/day

In other words: RIP CPU upgrades... specifically Ryzen, as Ryzen 7 can mine $1.37 to $2.12/day (seems to go up at night)

up front cost and income of Ryzen 7 is comparable to a 1060, but Ryzen runs ~60 watts while mining and a 1060 runs ~75-110 depending on the algo

Pretty sure Electricity costs would eat up alot of that figure. I mean you're talking $45/month per 1060. It's gonna take 6 months minimum just to pay off each card (not subtracting for energy costs). I don't get the fuss. You'd need atleast two dozen cards to even make it worth it and even then were talking about $50/day.... I just don't get it.
