Just tamed one. In between red and blue ob there is a group of water falls. The two Rocky peeks on either side have them

We've had Griffin's spawn in 3 areas so far on my srvr. Mountain by the volcano, Just before the snow mountains if you head towards green ark from blue, and in the canyon area with swampland. I'm not great with directions, but I hope this helps.
