Doing a build planning on getting a 512 ssd and no hdd but want to use a external hd for saving games and media. Sound good?

I don't recommend doing it with games. I have bad experience with that

I would say get an interal HDD. From my experience, internal drives perform better than external, even usb 3.0 drives.

Not game off an external. It doesn’t work great. If it’s all u got them go for it but other than that get internal. I have a few games on a usb 3.0 flash drive and even that doesn’t work great.

If you want the portability of an external drive but the proformance of an internal drive you could always use a internal hot swap bay and something like this to make it portable
