I'd stick with 250 to minimize the lag

Yeah if the tame limit is at 250 it will allow 250 per tribe I have mine set at 300 and it's a little laggy

My server is set at 400.

The map a themselves have a built in overall tame limit so the higher the # you go the more likely it is that new tribes could not reach that limit while others have 400+ tames
