Yeah i have 2 monitors. 1 for my switch and one for my pc. Sometimes i run my pc through 2 moitors so i can play games and check facebook at the sametime.

On the switch setup, does the monitor have speakers or do you use an audio extractor from the HDMI?

I just keep an HDMI hooked into my tv that I use for a monitor. If I ever feel like moving a console there it’s ready to go. Switch being the easiest to move for sure.

Plenty of room to plop the switch with its dock down

You can buy a HDMI switch on ebay if you can wait for it.
Then just press to switch (hehe)
and connect with two cables.
