Harvest Moon is no longer owned by the original creators.

It used to be owned by Marvolous Entertainment, localized by Natsume. But Marvolous Entertainment broke off from Natsume, but because Natsume kept the rights to the name, Marvolous Entertainment had to change the name to Story of Seasons in order to keep their series going.

Just because this title isn't created by Marvolous Entertainment doesn't mean it's bad...

Story of Seasons is the actual Harvest Moon, Marvelous are the original developers behind the Harvest Moon games up until the GBA and GC.

Natsume (Publisher) own the rights to the 'Harvest Moon' name, but the game is made by completely different people and is pretty much a far cry from the original games.

Keep your eyes on the 'Story of Seasons' series, not Harvest Moon.
