Currently I have an asus rog g751jy and I’m looking to add a monitor so I can have higher refresh rates. Eventually I’ll be building a pc when the time is right so I wanted to get a 1440p screen that I’d pick up for my later build. Will I have a performance decrease with this? I feel as though I won’t, but part of me is saying I will

Considering everything is moving to 4k HDR. 1440p would be a decrease from that by half.
