can anyone explain these adapters please. is one ideal for certain situations (perhaps power requirement), or....??
any reason to use Y splitter over the other?

also, i cant seem to find an images of...but how bout 1 molex to 2 PCIe 6-pin, just for lulz

I would imagine the Y splitter will allow more current to flow to device. Or perhaps for a weaker PSU it can spread the power over 2 separate connectors so one rail isn't overloaded

all modern PSUs are single rail designs now.
but maybe less current going thru the wires since more?

A y split is allowing more paths of 12v and 5v to go to the 6 pin. If you have to use a Molex to 6 pin adapter then the y split would be the way to go. By using the y split you're reducing the current draw on each leg and providing more efficient power.

Molex is trash. @ is better than one. Just hard wire a 6 pin
